London, 9 November 2023; Turnkey Consulting’s Sarah Nadwick has been named as the Highly Commended Rising Star of the Year at the BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards 2023.
Regarded as the ‘Oscars of IT’, the annual awards celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence across the whole IT industry. Turnkey’s entry outlined Nadwick’s achievements, along with client and team endorsements, to demonstrate her professionalism, innovation, measurable success, and role model status. The submission was followed up by a rigorous face-to-face interview for finalists before the judges made their selection.
Nadwick oversees Turnkey’s Bedrock offering, which provides clients with a managed service for Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), identity and access management, and application security. She has grown it from a peripheral service to one that is an integral part of the company’s business, reviewing and revising it to ensure that it consistently delivers measurable benefits for clients.
Internally, Nadwick is committed to supporting and leading Turnkey colleagues, with activities including chairing the company’s UK Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Group, co-founding an employee engagement initiative and actively prioritising the visibility of women in the IT security industry.
The award judges noted: “Sarah’s communication and drive for continual improvement in all of her work ensured that she stood out from the crowd. She uses innovation to deliver key tools to help clients and her work with Women in Tech and schools inspires others through mentoring.”
Richard Hunt, CEO and founder of Turnkey Consulting, says: “Sarah has been a mainstay of the Turnkey team since she joined, and this award is hugely well deserved. With personal values of drive and hard work, she uses her continually growing expertise to benefit clients and the company, while always championing those that she works with to bring out the best in them. We know that Sarah is the ‘best of the best’ - as do our clients - so it is gratifying to have that celebrated in the wider industry.”
Simon Persin, global head of consulting and operations at Turnkey Consulting, says: "We are incredibly proud of Sarah – to be highly commended in such a competitive category is a wonderful accomplishment. Since joining us as a graduate, she has continued to go above-and-beyond, acting as an enabler for clients, as well as internally on strategic improvements, particularly around diversity and inclusion and sustainability. That Sarah now controls a key strategic service for our global business is testament to the high regard we have of her abilities. We look forward to seeing what more is to come from the continuing rise of this star.”
Nadwick says: “My aim is to provide the best possible service to clients, while ensuring that colleagues are supported and can achieve their potential. It is incredibly fulfilling to have this day-to-day focus recognised at these prestigious awards.”
