The new role increases provision of end-to-end IT security services in the region.
Global risk management company, Turnkey Consulting, has appointed industry expert Rob Tyler to the newly-created role of practice director for APAC as it looks to strengthen its capacity to provide clients in the region with end-to-end security services. Tyler has more than 20 years of experience heading up cyber security and identity and access management practices across APAC at companies including IBM and NTT.
Turnkey is recognised for its SAP application and GRC consulting expertise in Australia and around the world. The new role, which will leverage these skills, as well as Turnkey’s strong relationships with market-leading partners including SailPoint, CyberArk and Onapsis, is focused on cyber security and identity and access management (IDM); the move reflects the increasingly complex IT environments in which clients operate, with challenges including cloud-based implementations and digital transformation, as well as the need to counteract the global increase in cyber security threats.
Organisations also need to navigate the evolving regulatory requirements in Australia. The Australian Security of Critical Infrastructure Act for example imposes stringent requirements on industries considered to be critical to the national interest, with the industry areas covered by the legislation expanded in 2021.
Ed Davis, director at Turnkey Consulting, says: “Turnkey has built a strong reputation for combining technical skills with business expertise and attention to detail when it comes to customer service; it was key therefore to find the right person for this new role. Rob’s insights and expertise will offer significant additional value to our clients as their needs and operating environment become ever more complex and allow us to expand our end-to-end cyber security and identity management offerings.”
Rob Tyler says: “Turnkey’s global footprint means it is large enough to provide an impressive breadth and depth of services and expertise. At the same time the company is highly agile, allowing it to respond to specific client requirements and provide the service that is right for each one. This new role is an opportunity to help broaden Turnkey’s SAP Security offerings in APAC and build sustainable cyber and identity practices with a strong focus on Australia’s critical infrastructure client base, while also contributing to the company’s global offering.”
